I dont know what the wholesale price would be to this distibutor but hazarding a guess and multiplying by 1000 units is a very hefty overdraft.

Even if they tried to buy in monthly lots, theyd soon realise it wasnt sustainable.
Someone hasnt done their sums.

Have to agree with your logic JavaB - doesnt really make snese to me either but I do like to play devils advocate...and one day i guess well all find out whether they know what theyre doing. Some pretty strange ideas have become incredibly successful and also spectacular disasters!

2mcm - yes of course I know there are unethical, shady businesses out there. Your remark above strongly eluded to this particular business - do you have evidence or not? If you were to say, yes I would take you at your word and not make further comment. If you cant give us that type of response, I simply think youre being unfair.

Ive got the evidence and I sent it to chris as well.

I asked Genesis for a delay to study the market, I couldnt accept a such quantity without taking a huge financial risk.

I believe this situation is unfair and we will see the result in the future.

I will boycott the Gene until they give me back the right to import their roaster.

In the past 4 months I have done a remarkable job and established a number of distributors around Australia, its simply a shame to see all my job falling down.

I was the first to take the risk to promote the Gene in Australia why should I lose it now! because I couldnt accept a such stupid quantity (1000 a year!)  

The CSers will appreciate

Maybe when Genesis realise theyve made a mistake and ask you back, you can screw them for a better price as compensation.

I think it would go without saying Serge that all the sponsors on this site have CSrs support 100%.

I am very glad now that I bought my GC when I did. Thank you Serge and thank you Chris.

Not really the way to win friends and influence people in any retail market.

I used to sell Computers and parts as a hobby/market business, one company told me that I had to have a monthly spend of $10K to become a reseller of thier products, my monthly spend at the time (15years ago) was running at about $4K. However, they may need my services/Knowledge in the not to distant future. Moral is, what goes around comes around.

Thats really rough Serge, as is the effort youve made to establish this product in Australia only to have the rug pulled out from under your feet.

I can only say that Im pleased I purchased from you and though we havent met, it is nice dealing with a gentleman like yourself

Serge, Im sorry to hear that youve lost GeneCafe - its strange considering the efforts youve gone to to promote it. I would also have thought theyd want a distributor who has your extensive roasting knowledge.

That is normal, English is not my mother language so I speak English and think in French.
The Genesis are not better then me believe me its why I need a Korean.
The meaning is more important and forgive me if my English is not so clean, that give me a special flavour isnt it! at list I try my best and Im proud of it.
(for the story I started to speak English at 38 )
