Hey all, I was just wondering what home roaster should i get? i have a behmor but i think ive ruined it i majorly burnt the coffee and its black all thru it and im worried any future coffee i put thru it will be tainted.

Thoughts???

should i get another behmor or a gene?

Option 3:
Clean the roaster you have!
All roasters get some "colour" over time, not much imparts from it but the sensors in the Behmor can get confused a little.

Simple Green, mentioned in the manual and available from Bunnings works well and should get your roaster back to new(ish).

Have you tried cleaning it with some Simply Green yet? If not give it a shot. Then do a cleaning burn.

i just wasnt sure if the blackness will tainted any future roasts

I burnt my first roast attempt through my Behmor, cleaned it up and back at it!

For my opinion Home coffee roasting is as fun and easy , as you want to make it. You can roast in your oven, use a skillet, re-purpose a popcorn popper or buy a fancy coffee roasting appliance. Whatever method you use, you will be on your way to drinking much better coffee.
