Hi readeral, Can you suggest where I can get the silicone hose and what size do I need. Thanks
Hey, I've PM'd you. Your username caught me by surprise! Postmaster is often the default name for mailing lists and forum admin (well.. in my IT experience! evidently not here..), and because you were new it was in italics :P So it totally threw me
Yeah it does generate a topic of conversation. Sorry about that and yes you are spot on with your comment. Some sites will not let you use that name. Thanks for the info.

G'day Pm....
Yes mate, just head into a Supercheap Autos, Auto One or one of those sorts of shops and ask to be shown their selection of high-temp Silicone Hose/Tubing...

Mal.
I've given him some eBay links. I did try supercheap when I was looking, but at the time couldn't get the right inner/outer diameters. Maybe Postmaster can better manage/has a better stocked store nearby
Got those links thank you. I am in Echuca in Victoria, so stores do not carry a big range. I'll try Repco and autobarn and another auto shop, but I wont hold my breath
tks
John
Hello Postmaster.
If you dont have any luck with the silicone tubing, try the Koffeekosmo website and contact Paul.
He may have them available or able to direct you.
All the best and enjoy the roasting hobby.[emoji106]
This is a modification I did in order to do 1kg batches together with the fire blanket, plugging directly to the wall and pre heating the turbo before starting the roast.
Hello sideways,
Thank you for your input. I will do the mod if I cannot get the correct temperature.
The main thing is that I am enjoying the project.

Hey John,
I certainly hope you enjoy it! I did. The satisfaction of finishing was great. My thread has a bunch of stuff I wish I had planned/thought through before doing the build. Heed those, and hopefully you'll be spared my frustration!
Hello Al,
I have read your thread and I can see some of the frustration, but in the finish you got there. Well done. I am actually building this for my son. He can have the frustration and the learning curve to roast.
My 2nd hobby is brewing beer. (and drinking it of course) I done this from scratch and have just designed a machine to malt my grain from scratch (an old front loader washing machine geared down to 20 rpm)
This KKTO machine will also enable me to kiln a darker malt like a Brown Malt or Cara Malt (200 grams at a time) for a Brown Ale etc. I will post some pics when I have completed the project.
Thanks once again for your guidance.
John
Hi Mal, Tried Supercheap. He said isle 7 and wasn't very helpful. But no luck there. Might try Autobarn or Repco tks

Ah, too bad...
I think we must be over represented here in Warwick by petrol-heads then, as our local car-parts stores are chocabloc with every go faster, go harder parts you can imagine. Thought it would be the same everywhere...
