Re: New to the "Corretto Club" / My first roast!

Good to see a couple of clones out there, but I must give credit where its due - mine was a clone also (inspired by a YouTube video here -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VlOOuJZQQ4  (which I think was posted by a fellow CS as well?))

So really, youre making a clone off a clone - which, according the Michael Keaton movie Multipilicity, could lead to disasterous results (;D )

I did a couple of 600 gram roasts today (Yirgacheffe and Capricorn) which where double my first roast batches attempted last weekend and noted that it took about two minutes to get the beans down to something near ambient temp (~14 degrees in the garage!)  Still very impressed!

    Cheers,

    CQ

I reckon we need another snobs morning - I am thinking of perhaps breakfast at Tiger Tiger or somewhere like that. Eggs mmmmmmmmmm after coffee my favourite thing.

Im not sure about being my favourite but thats just about my regular Sunday breakfast.

        First things first...coffee.

Then a short while later some kind of egg dish.

This morning it was diced bacon into the pan followed by shredded mozarella and then my scrambled egg mix (two eggs, dash of cream, fresh parsley, salt and freshly ground pepper) tossed over them.
A quick stir to cook the eggs and voila, breakfast.
Add some toast and a glass of orange juice to complete the repast.

I feel like another coffee now.

Great idea Grendel, particularly in suggesting Tiger Tiger (great venue, great menu, great coffee, great owner!)

          Im in!

Sounds good to me but I do work some mornings (early too - 4:30am start) so hopefully it is on a day I am starting late or got off.

Goodies, for the love of humanity - a 4:30 start for work???

No wonder coffee runs through your veins (hey, maybe, with the right tax accountant you could incorporate your coffee conumption as a work-related necessity in this years tax return  [smiley=evil.gif])
Green beans = "Misc work consumables"
Roasting station & equipment = "Depreciation"
Calico bags, plastic tubs & oven mitts = "Protective equipment"

Yes, those darn swimming nuts like to get an early start to the mornings. Sorry getting a little off topic here.

But one good thing though, I get to say what coffee we drink (Yep....mine) they pay me I bring in the coffee.

So the new coretto setup up with Turbo Bean Cooler is ideal for the larger amount sof coffee that gets consumed.

I would have struggled and gone through a few popcorn poppers to keep up I think.
