  • Capacitor for Has Garanti HSR5

    Hi All
    I have a Has Garanti 5kg roaster.
It looks like the capacitor has gone, but it has been spray painted, so I can't get the details.
Does anyone have a 5kg roaster and could tell me the details of the capacitor?
    Thanks in advance

I thought these things had four motors on them.

Have you tried contacting HG Australia?
They have a website with Contact Details posted up...

Yep, they do. This one is the extractor fan for the drum.

OK. According to Has Garanti, that motor has the same rating as the drum motor and the cooler mixer.

Assuming we are talking a motor run capacitor here, it is sized to create a 90 degree phase shift in the motor winding and this in turn is determined by the motor current, so the three motors should have the same rating capacitor fitted.

BTW although I speak very little Turkish* I'm pretty sure "Has Garanti" means "Genuine Warranty" so hopefully they'll live up to the name.

          * I did a stint as a flying winemaker there about ten years ago, the only full sentence I can say is "No I can't play football like Harry Kewell" which was the appropriate response to their excitement when they found out I was an Australian.
