Depending on the bean.... eg Monsooned Malabar can get there in this time.... but I usually get other SO roasts done in 16-18 minutes.

        Toper Overview

        Hi Paolo, how are you?

This is my first post, so apologies for asking for information straight away.

I have done a thorough search on the Toper 1kg gas cafemino and keep coming back to your posts. I was hoping you could please let me know whether you recommend the Toper cafemino for a novice roaster and whether there are any major problems you have encountered over the 7 years of use - I've read about heating issue problems and long roasting times. I would also like to roast small sample batches initially (max 250g) and replicate them on bigger batches in the future and was wondering whether you felt is was feasible with the cafemino.

Thanks and sorry for all the questions

          Hi Gav,

I will PM you when I have a bit more time. Mine is a gas model....just clicked up roast number 800 last week and still going strong...but it wouldn't suit everybody.

The heating problem was with the electric model and was sorted by a fellow CS member Davec many years ago.

          Cheers,
          Paolo
