Re: QM1462 data logging thermometer
Three weeks ago I was very fed up with my QM problems. I stripped the whole thing down to the circuit boards, pulled off the clicker and those litte metal bits. I gently cleaned every thing as I went and then put it back together.
To my suprise , scince I did this I have had no more problems. There has been no random temperatures and uncontrollable automatic switching to Farenheight. The C/F button still does not work, I just have to turn the dial 1 click clockwise and then back to change to Celcius.
I went to my local Jaycar yesterday to see if they had a replacement for me yet. All they had was the same one I returned last time. They said I have a lifetime warranty on mine so I could come bak any time and swap when they have another batch in.
If anyone is thinking of buying one of these, make sure you check the USB port. Try actually screwing it in in the shop. If the screws wont go in its probably part of the dodgy batch I have been stuck with.
