    Kronotrop
    I was able to spend a bit of time at Kronotrop café in Istanbul last month, a great café and a very dedicated owner, Garatay. He has a 1kg roaster in behind and gets some wonderful flavours coming though in the beans. I have not come across the depth of flavour in the bean that he manages to get, I had some sensational Guatemalan at the counter. Garatay has very nice Nuovo Simonelli machine as well as other brewing methods but really excels at espresso. A bit of a battle to sell espresso to Turks but he does it very well.
    Located just off Istiklal, it is a must-go-to café.
    Let me know if you need directions to get there, not many locals know of it.
