LE: Awesome Coffee puts it mildly.

The best ristretto coffee I have ever tasted.
My home made coffee is considered seriously challenged!

Small specialist coffee shop  Synesso / Mazzers / Own blend of Five Senses.
Early morning on the way home from the gym - perfect recovery and start to the conscious day with a regular stream of city and medical commuters. Well worth the visit.
Certainly worth a detour.  (Fresh muffins with real fruit to die for!)

And dont forget the 6Kg Giesen roaster out the back - lovely bit of kit and I cant wait to sample some of its output

Ive been to Exilir a couple of times now (made the trip out of the CBD during my lunch hour) - the coffees have been sublime, and the coffee-related conversations with Jonny and Justin couldnt have been more passionate or genuine.

        Cheers,

Took my nephew to Uni to pay for the fees for the year and did a detour to Elixir. Had a ristretto and a flat white. Almost perfect tulip art on the flat white. Took pic of it. Sat on the counter with stools virtually next to the Synessos, i think they designed to put them there so there,s that liaison between customer and barista. Recommend them to anyone. They rely a lot on word of mouth.

Justin and the boys are roasting some great single origin micro lots on the Giesen. Had a brilliant Guatamalan V60 pourover yesterday, I enjoyed that amazing coffee in my dreams again last night, drop in and try an espresso alternative, you wont be disappointed.

Anyone know of a good place for a syphon in Perth?

                    Re: Elixir Coffee Specialists --NEDLANDS

Thanks Perth CSsers for mentioning Elixir. I was in Perth for just under 3 weeks and was delighted to have travelled to Elixir for a caffiene fix. The Lattes were great and the cold pour Costa Rican Herbazu was also lovely. Had a great lunch (Poached chicken with asian slaw and lemon mayo on rye bread) and also some lovely tasty treats to take home (organic carrot cake and red velvet cake). The other half pronounced it was one of the nicest places with great coffee in Perth. Well worth a visit.

                      Re: Elixir Coffee Specialists

Had their pourover a while ago while on multitasking duties. Very pleasant. Tea like characteristics, delicate nuances. Very different from the usual espressos.
For me, its at its best drunk black to fully enjoy the bean.
Mum n dad had a flat white each, though its line ball whether they preferred their latte art, or mine :

Had a coffee Monday and it would have to be the best coffee I have ever had. And Ive had many.
I will have to get there more often.

I am so fortunate for Elixir to be around the corner from where I work. Its easy to do lunch there and I did so today.
Started with a latte, had lunch and finished by introducing a colleague to cold brew.
                          Fantastic!

I cant believe that I havent expressed my love for Elixir on CS.

The coffee is always great. Whether it be a V60 Pourover, Coldbrew, or if youre just in for the usual FW you will be impressed. Their house blend is not your standard espresso blend and I love it for that.

The hardest part about Elixir is escaping without enjoying multiple coffees. But you can really appreciate the passion going into everything.

If you havent checked them out, you should!
