Heading down to Margaret River on Saturday and wondering if there were any good coffee places worth checking out?

p.s. yes, I have been to Yahava and am not a fan (unless something has changed drastically in the past few years).

Watch someone else buy a coffee and time the shot. If its not 30sec or so, move on.

I rarely buy coffee out, but find sidekick next to IGA usually pretty decent. Sugarman can be ok too. If you're heading south, stop in at yardbird in Witchcliffe. Actually, probably go there even if you're not heading south.

Sadly, this is a few hours too late Had breakfast at Riversmith. Food was reasonable, although severely overpriced.

Coffee was not the worst I had this weekend (that award went to the charcoal Mataya in Mandurah served me), but didn't make it into the "enjoyable" category...

Ah, I should have checked the dates before I posted!
For a town that advertises itself as a gourmet food destination, the reality never lives up to the hype.

My experience having lived almost locally and going down there is the city centre is quite disappointing. It’s the smaller operators on their own property that showcases the town. Get out and do a self guided food tour.

Far too late but Albert and Nicola do really good coffee if you’re up Dunsborough way

Phew - so glad I didn't go in there - went into the Brew Espresso Shack opposite on Sunday morning instead - the Riversmith was very busy. Good coffee in the Shack, I think they use DiBella beans? Very small café but nice vibe and coffee.

Brew Shack was always our go to place. Recently changed hands and now the vibe isnt there. Coffee is just as good, they serve in handless cups which i'm not a fan of as they have even less places to put your cup down now wiht the refit.

In Busselton, Mono - small arcade, just off Queen street, is always consistent.
In Bunbury usually the most consistent is Benesse in Victoria st. Corners on King does a strong brew and isn't too bad either. ( King street near the Parade Hotel a little out from the main drag)
