I am far less concerned with the possible flex than the noise from the pump.
Its not an issue for me as I don’t want that big a machine or to fiddle with settings etc, I’m looking more for simplicity.
I still think it is one of the top 5 prosumer machines out there at the moment and those that jumped early got a bargain.

My Achille (which I haven't used for a while) uses the CMA group and double-spring. I don't believe that it has any noticeable flex...certainly nothing like on that video (but it is built like a very ugly tank and sounds like one too).

I get some flex on my profitec pro 800 which has a similar group head/lever system. From what I have seen the strega and londinium have the same amount also. Nearly impossible not to get some flex to a small degree.

Hi Phat Boy and others
I googled the vesuvius Evo to see the very pretty machine and just chanced upon this one
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBvG8yRFCGM
I know nothing about them, but is the movement in the group head when the handle is pulled down rotational/ normal / or is that a bit of flex? sorry for taking the thread a tad off base.

Given that they appointed site sponsor Jetblack Espresso as their Australian agent so that they can ensure that there is local support for what is a complex machine, it makes sense that they might not want to shaft them.
Makes for good relationships and local parts and service. If they're anything like some of the early Vesuvius machines, they can be a royal pr!ck to repair.
