  • Withdrawn Izzo Valexia Leva (three months old)

Sad to say that the lack of space in our new house means that I need to offer my treasured Izzo Valexia Leva up for sale.

This piece of functional art arrived new from site sponsor Antony at Casa Espresso in October of 2021 and is an absolute joy to use featuring the same famed La San Marco double spring lever system that’s in the commercial Izzo Valchiria, only in a smaller prosumer domestic footprint.

I paid $5,290 for the machine and another $530 to have the Tasmanian Olivewood handles custom made which I will include along with the original black handles, one of which has some dings in it because it was hard to get off the portafilter (see pic of single portafilter handle) when I replaced it with the wood handles.

Included are an IMS B662Th32M basket (works well with an 18g dose) and an IMS shower screen which together I paid $125, the naked portafilter handle shown in the photo of the machine, as well as an IMS shower screen, together with the original Izzo basket and shower screen and original double and single spouted Izzo portafilter handles. Comes in original box.

All up I’ve paid $5,945. Selling for $4,690 so you save $600 over a new machine and $1,255 on what I paid in total. And you will receive a machine that is as near to new condition as you will get, other than buying one new.

    Special notes:
    1. The Valexia requires you to either plumb it in or to purchase a FloJet type pump with a water bottle connected, which is what I have done, and it is easy to set up and it works a treat.
    2. Cups shown in the photos are not included.
    3. Available for pick up near Noosa QLD 4567 or I can ship to your door in NSW, VIC, SA, ACT, QLD for an additional $150 (may be a bit more for TAS, WA or NT). It's over 50kg so it does cost a bit to ship.
    4. As is my habit, I’ve priced this to sell quickly so apologies, but I won’t be open to offers. I try and price the equipment that I sell so that buyers can resell later if they choose, and not drop a cent.

In my opinion this is twice as good a machine as a Cremina at 3/4 the price.
You should have no problems selling it mate.
What are you going to use for milk drinks in the meantime?
Don’t forget I’ve got dibs on the C2 when your Evo arrives.

      Stalking?
Nah mate, you just seem to turn up on forums that I’m on with another new machine.
I don’t think the Argos will give you anything that the C2 doesn’t.
I am seriously tempted by your Valexia but I have just got my Bianca back and it is just too easy to get great shots from to get rid of.

I think you are right re the Argos but it will be fun to play with, what with the spring to direct option. Watch this space. I probably won't keep it whereas the CT2 is in the lifer category.

Ah, the plastic laboratory just doesn’t do it for me.
      Different stokes and all that.
With you downsizing, what bikes are you selling?
Don’t have a Ducati single gathering dust perchance?

The reddit people of r/Pareidolia/ might appreciate the first pic of the Valexia :-)

Are you using some old Bjelke Peterson calendar to go with your non-daylight savings?
    Monday 21st of Feb?

The custom woodwork, is this the doing of Leon Wilcox? Looks iconic, and beautiful

Yes indeed. Leon Wilcox at Etsy. He's done handles for all my machines. The best.

If anyone’s pondering whether to buy this machine, let me help you. I have a 2009 model Izzo Pompei. Same group head and build quality. You will simply not even think about having to upgrade. In fact I don’t know of a machine that you could say would actually be an upgrade.

I can’t remember when I had to throw away a shot, they are that good. The Izzo quality is such that my machine being 13 years old looks in the same condition as it did when it was 1 year old.

      These machines are family heirlooms

admin I have now moved all 53kg of her to the new house and I am withdrawing from sales due to lack of interest. May try again later and in the meantime I might see if I can set her up in my office. Thanks everyone for all your positive posts.
