  • SOLD BFC/Diadema Junior & Cunill Tranquilo setup [SYD]

Hello all, I have a BFC (Royal/Diadema) Junior and Cunill Tranquilo grinder setup looking for a new home…

Both machines have been great. Excellent consistent shots from BFC. Light use for both and regularly service for espresso machine since purchase.

    BFC Royal Junior:
    • Very good condition.
    • A few marks here and there from general use.
    • Boiler heating element recently replaced.
    Includes:
    • 1 x single spout portafilter
    • 1 x double spout portafilter
    • 3 x baskets: double, single and blind
    • 2 x tamper (1 x basic plastic and 1 x weighted metal)
    • 1 x steel knock box
    • 1 x milk jug
    Usage / Maintenance History:
    • Average of 15~20 coffees per week.
    • Steaming is sensational; I find it a breeze to texture milk with the 2-hole tip that’s installed.
    • Back flushed daily
    • Chemical back flushed and group head cleaned and brushed regularly.
    • Professionally serviced every year.
    Specs:
    • Heat Exchanger
    • Simultaneous brew and steam
    • Commercial e-61 group head
    • Commercial brewing solenoid
    • 1.3 litre boiler
    • 1300W heating element
    • Internal vibe pump
    • Steam tap valve: rotary commercial soft close
    • Water tap valve: commercial electro-valve
    • Steam arm: flexible ball joint
    • Water outlet: fixed spigot
    • Water reservoir: 3.0l

    • Made in Italy
    Cunill Tranquilo grinder
    Condition
    • Excellent
    Use/maintenance:
    • Minimal use (was used only for wife’s occasional decaf). I estimate less than 20kg in beans over its life.
    • stripped back clean with airgun to remove any trace of decaf (aka brown sadness dirt)
    • one rubber foot missing
    Specs:
    • Large Motor (285 watts)
    • 600mm blades
    • Formed dispenser head
    • Speed: 1300 rpm
    • Chrome Plated Body
    • Weight 9KG
    • Equipped with thermal protector
    • 1/2 kg Coffee Hopper
    • Instant grinding and dispensing
    • Dimensions [h] x [w] x [d]: 380mm x 140mm x 280mm

    Price for both: $1,000 ono

    • Hoping for a local buyer who can inspect/pickup in person. I’m located in Thornleigh NSW.
    • Delivery / handover can be negotiated within reason.
    • Freight option can be organised at buyer’s expense.

285W is a large motor for a grinder, but it might be a little undersized given the 600mm burrs.

Yeh. Typo!! I was looking at massive industrial grinders to meet my intake needs... fixing it in specs to be 60mm. Thanks!

It might help to tell members how old the Diadema is. Per week usage is useful...but for how long?

      Sure thing, Barry.

Manufactured in 2003 (date and serial number visible on the ID plate on front of machine),
Purchased from Cosmorex (Canberra) in 2006
It was with the one owner, who I am selling it for. He just moved to Byron Bay and has switched to a Quick Mill Rubino... The black one!

Wow that's a great deal. Its a good reliable machine. I had a similar model and had it dialled in with a thermosyphon restrictor, and had the pressure dialled into 9bar, and the machine just made such lovely shots, time after time.......

Last price drop. $600 for both. No splits.
(Think of it as a bonus grinder instead of steak knives)
Price available for 7 days, then I'll need to move it across to "other" platforms.
