Ideally it sits in the middle of a room as the rear panel is lit up and looks fantastic. Mine faced the wall as most kitchen set ups do, but it suits being in the open (small cafe style)
Very impressive, thanks for the info. Will have to try and get the boss over the line.

The ECM Veneziano A1 is from the commercial line of ECM italy. I have the link, but I cannot post links here as far as I understand. See cut and paste

    From ECM ad (website) originally.

The Veneziano A Series. -Designed and manufactured by ECM S.p.A. in Italy the Veneziano A series is the premium model in the ECM traditional commercial range. The machine’s traditional and functional design, with full metal stainless bodywork, very open and large work space, exposed chrome groups and illuminated back panels, convey a strong image of traditional espresso coffee making, the old art of the barista’s coffee making. ECM concentrates their manufacturing on traditional quality, design and state of the art technology. ECM believes the Veneziano series, available with 1, 2 and 3 brewing heads (“groups”), is the very best on the market, crucial for the groups ability to conduct and retain the required thermic stability for optimal heat, important for the potential in the extraction process of espresso. The ECM Veneziano range of espresso machines are traditionally and classically crafted, manufactured for reliability all through 40 years of history and manufacturing experience in product design, R&D and production line assembly experience.

The focus is on absolute consistency and superior quality in the cup. Always the best in aroma, body and “crema”.

Agreed. Up to temperature according to the boiler pressure gauge in a few minutes, but like all e-61 mahicnes, you're still waiting for a hot group. Give it 30 minutes. That's where technology is such a bonus. Web timers are a very good thing!

This Machine looks like it just came off the showroom floor, not 18 years old. A steal at this price.

The ECM Veneziano A1 represents the ultimate, espresso machine for home or office. The machine’s traditional & functional design, with full metal stainless bodywork, an open and large work space, exposed chrome groups and illuminated back panels, convey a strong image of traditional espresso the old art of the barista’s coffee making. ECM concentrates their manufacturing on traditional quality, design and state of the art technology. This machine is unique offering volumetric control, rotary pump and the choice of tank or plumb-in operation. Low water audible alarm if using in tank mode.

    Included

    ECM Veneziano A1 Parts manual

    Note about machine

Machine has been plumbed in using dual filtered water, sediment and carbon filters its entire life. One month using the tank only with filtered water.
I am the original owner from new. Treated extremely well, only made 2 milk based coffees a day since new approximately. Turned on each day for about 2 hours total.
Just serviced by ECM agents in Melbourne.
    New motor
    New pressure switch,
New group seal and shower screen.
New ECM supplied dual water valve.

The machine looks stunning, there are some cups marks around the cup holder on top of the tank, and cup marks around the drain tray, but otherwise the machine is in an extremely good condition and looks fantastic. The ECM be switched instantly to pour over via the inbuilt tank or plumbed.
The machine has plenty of steam power and can make fast milk-based coffees, hot chocolate etc with very quick recovery time due to 1800 Watts power. Serviced and looked after its entire life living in one kitchen.
Full clean including backflush just done by ECM agent.
New this machine was $4200. (about 2004 when I purchased it in Melbourne)
    Asking $1820
The service this month cost $868 including the new motor and water valve. The machine has not been used since it came back this week from the ECM agent, so you are getting a new motor, water valve etc, and a very clean machine. The water valve was sticking as I had the machine in plumbed in mode for most of its life, hence now it has a new ECM dual valve.
Get another 20 years of life out of this machine or longer as parts are easily obtained using mostly stock standard ECM parts.
Reason for selling, a very large 9 month renovation and an upgrade to a bigger machine. I will have no kitchen or living area for 8-12 months and intend to purchase a bigger machine for my new kitchen. Overkill getting a bigger machine, but so be it. I need the room for the bigger machine, and I am almost building a kitchen for it.

Very hard to take photos of the machine as it is so reflective, but I have tried to show the machine off as best as I can. Switchable New ECM water valve easy to use, simple push in for tank, pull out for plumbed in. Loud alarm for low water level, if using the machine in tank mode.

Pick up much preferred from my house in South Yarra Melbourne, but I can ship it if the buyer arranges a courier with insurance. Shipping 30kg Melbourne to Sydney with insurance is about $65 for example.

I have only seen one ECM A1 for sale in the last few months, and it was not looked after, only available to be plumbed in as the water inlet valve was broken and the rear light was not working and faded, and internal tank was missing, and they wanted $2200. I have asked a few others about the price so I think what I am asking is fair for a coffeesnob member.
I will list the machine elsewhere at a higher price soon, but I wanted to see if a CoffeeSnob member would like the machine first as it truly is a lovely machine with no work needed at all. I had the ECM technician take a photo under the hood to show also the frame has no rust and is very clean, so no work needed. The Veneziano A1 is hard to find and I consider it one of the best looking 1 group machines around ever. (IMO)

    Any questions please ask.
    Cheers

Note- the 1st photo is a Stock photo. All the other photos are of the actual machine which has cleaned and flushed, and ready to be picked up.
