Totally disagree.
This forum is an amazing resource for it's members new and old. But what we do have is a strict set of rules for various parts of the forum (including the for sale section) for good reason - to keep this free resource available to members from across the world without spam or intrusive bots & ads all with very little man power.
While this forum is generally targeted toward Aus and a lesser extent NZ, there are members all over the world who contribute regularly.
Disagreements happen on the forum all the time. That is what happens when people get together and discuss at times subjective matters based on their experiences and opinions. But bullying, trolling, rude or downright abusive behaviour won't and shouldn't be tolerated.
New members are welcomed warmly when they introduce themselves. 'Silly' questions aren't met with hostility even from first time posters, but more often than not education from more experienced members passing on their knowledge.
There is no 'game' being played, just enthusiasts discussing a passion for a brown liquid.

It does seem that way on here eh? Very cliquey little gang of locals, and if you don't play along with the game, then you will hear about it.

Thanks Lofty, appreciate it 🙏Originally posted by Loftylatte View PostI can vouch for Stu, he's a stand up bloke that works in the coffee industry and trains people. Guarantee he's not trying to rip anyone off.
Fact is niche have only recently become readily available for shipping to Aus. Based on the Aus rrp of $1650 plus, his asking price is fair.

Thanks Noelpolar, in fact this kind of behaviour is one of the reasons I have not contributed in some time. It's not limited to the for sale section, but really is throughout the forum.Originally posted by Noelpolar View PostI can't believe this drible occurs almost every time someone lists a Niche for sale..... it's not 2020 ..... they are for sale in Australian retailers for $1700..... move on peoples.

Yup, but the OP has explained below that he purchased the Niche 9 months ago at Aus retail ($1600) and is not trying to profit from the deal. So no probs.

It’s generally frowned upon to sell Niche zeros for above purchase price or current market price.
It’s actually now against forum rules.
“If the item posted is priced substantially over RRP and we think you are just trying to profit from the CoffeeSnobs community we'll lock the post and lock your account, no questions asked. Facebook, Gumtree, Ebay exist to sell stuff to strangers at whatever price you choose, CoffeeSnobs For Sale is for our community to offer items to each other at a fair and reasonable price”

and yep, it meets the rules..Purchased locally, so you arent trying to make a profit.
Good luck with the sale

It's because the site posting rules clearly state: "Need to include a reasonable selling price, landed cost or less."
Apologies, i had missed that specific line in the rules. As I purchased it retail in Australia ($1600) I thought that a $1350 Neg price was reasonable.
