Hi all,
Selling my Ditting Lab Sweet burrs. These were purchased for my Ditting 804 about 18 months ago, and price when I bought them $858. Price today is $899 from Alternative Brewing and Dipacci.
They have had about 40kg of coffee through them since then, so nicely seasoned with PLENTY of life left. Ditting say anywhere from 1,500 to 2,500 kg. They are in perfect condition, no marks, chips, dents, scratches etc (other than the naturally occurring variations through the casting process that can be seen on the photos, these are merely cosmetic).
So you're essentially getting pre-broken-in, ready to go Lab Sweet burrs at a $250 discount!
These burrs make great filter and espresso, and are best suited for medium-light coffee. The only reason I'm selling them is that my tastes have changed and I'm really into ultra-light roasts now brewed with turbo shots and fast flowing filter where I'm chasing super-high clarity, so have bought some SSP burrs as they handle that kind of brewing better. But having said that the SSPs are definitely more one-dimensional (I just like that). The Lab Sweet burrs are much more of an all-rounder, handling everything from tight 1:1.5 espresso or filter with dark or medium coffee, up to 1:2 espresso or filter with medium to light coffee, and highlighting sweetness and complexity, with really nice mouthfeel and good clarity. A few reviewers (like Brain Quan) said these are the best of both worlds - high body and high clarity. Not many burrs can achieve that!
Happy to ship wherever at buys expense - I think its about $10 to pretty much anywhere in Australia.
