    Hi all, brand newbie Sooty here, just wondering if the grinder was ever sold?

    It might be a bad bearing. Some electric repair places may be able to replace the bearing for you.

    i currently dont have a "shed" and the kitchen bench is not a suitable "tooling" surface in the eyes of the better half......

    Ok, after a great bit of unprompted advice from Pullman (Thanks!) I have good news and bad.

    Good: I worked out it is not necessarily the Burrs that are problematic;
    BAD: But it seems the bottom burr has a slight wobble to it.

    I Think it is the motor shaft that is out of whack; and I have no idea how to fix it.

    Changes the game a bit I guess.

    Maheel you are still first dibs, but this may make for a slightly more complicated repair. Im down near Cronulla in sydneys south.

    Hi Maheel,

    Any sponsor who sells Expobar should be able to source you some burrs....

    started a topic Cunill Tranquilo w/Doser - Needs Work.

    Cunill Tranquilo w/Doser - Needs Work.

    Bought this unit 2nd hand when my old grinder starting going nutso, (to tide me over until K-Rudds bonus comes through - then its Compak time!)

    But It doesnt grind properly - must need new burrs.  It cant get fine enough for espresso even at 2 notches from zero point.   Burrs certainly feel blunt.

    I dont want to spend money on fixing something that I am not going to be using long, and I dont have a lot of time on my hands really.

    The grinder looks very solid and well built, few bumps and scratches.   Once fixed It would make a very home grinder or a very good second grinder for decaf etc.  Wouldnt be out of place in a small cafe.

    Pics will come today.  Im selling for a fair bit less than what I paid for it (I was told that it was fully functional grrrrrrr - caveat emptor people!!!)

    $125.00.  In sydney.
Working...
