!!GONE!!: Not QUITE functional Sunbeam 3800

Hi all

I have a Sunbeam 3800 which I have owned from brand new since August 2008 (i.e. its only 8 months old).

Mechanically it is in perfect order and hasnt had any problems, but the group head is not sealing properly and water/steam is leaking out when I try to use it.  It still steams milk fine.

I replaced the seal but this didnt fix the problem, so I believe that there is something wrong with the group head itself.  It doesnt appear to be cracked but it may be worn or something.

I could try and fix it, but I just bought a Gaggia Deluxe from a fellow CSer and I just cant be bothered mucking around with the Sunbeam.

Soooo... its for sale with 3 brand new seals for $50.  Bundle includes:

- machine
- group handle
- 1 & 2 cup baskets
- 3 new seals

I also have 2 unpressurised Krups baskets (1 & 2 cup) which you can have for $15 (total) if you buy the machine... they are worth ~$12 from a store.

Location is Melbourne (SE suburbs or city pickup).

If you bought it brand new eight months ago, it should still be under warranty... just a thought

True, but I bought it brand new in the box from someone else, so I dont have the original proof of purchase.
