  • !!SOLD!!: ECA KS Grinder

Having had a few enquiries for this grinder, Im officially listing it for sale @ $450 (pickup/drop-off in Sydney). Bought from Di Bartoli, its done about 20Kg as its been relegated to my little-used office after just a few months use as my primary grinder (upgraded to a M4).

Good points: Stepped, doserless, clean grind path & I can demo it if youre interested.

Bad points: These RRP @ $649 (currently on sale at $629 at a few of the site sponsors). Ive not polished it in the photo attached, but its for sale in sparkly condition. Id prefer to sell it to someone in Sydney who can pick it up and inspect it for themselves.

    First in, best dressed!

    cheers,

    John.

    Re: FS: ECA KS Grinder

I have one myself and as a first grinder I think it is a great purchase for someone beginning their coffee journey.

Good luck, its at a great price.

      Possibly interested in the grinder

how does this compare to an iberital challenge, performance, grind qaulity and consistency (besides the obvious that 1 is stepped and other infinite adjustment)?

Pm responses so as to not disrupt this sale.

        Re: FS: ECA KS Grinder

        Hi coffee_drinker,

Id like to leave someone whos not selling the grinder to post an opinion - mine is that the grind quality is higher (standard flat burr vs. home conical), build quality is higher (italian vs. spanish), its less clumpy, faster and will just give you a better cup result - the stepped nature can be cured with the same teflon tape mod as the rocky, but the steps are closer than the rockys and there are significantly nicer touches. According to Crema Magazines testing, its actually faster than the Mini doserless. Its really a mid-range, solid grinder rather than an entry level one, has a nicer hopper, is more stable on the bench and makes no fuss of decent espresso. In testing, theres always a good step for a pour at the speed you want, and its not been a problem for me.
