After a spontaneous upgrade on Friday – my ECM Botticelli II is up for sale…
The Botticelli is a very solid single boiler machine with the same group head found on ECM’s commercial machines. It has a good sized boiler and makes excellent coffee and produces a serious amount of steam!
It comes with two commercial group handles – and a new spare group head seal from coffee parts.
History:
I bought this machine second hand a couple of months ago – the previous owner basically hadn’t used it much. I think it’s about 4-5 years old.
It’s been back flushed each week and I descaled and replaced the group head seal when I first got it. The original ECM group head seal was still A+, but figured I’d start off with a fresh one.
Condition:
A part from some very faint scratches on the cup warmer plate, the machine looks like new. Internally, I’d be very surprised if it had made more than 100 coffees in its entire life.
The steaming knob sometimes slips, didn’t bother me, but could easily be fixed with either a new knob or some packing.
Sales Pitch/Specs (Copy / Paste):
The ECM Botticelli II is one of those espresso machines that falls into "best of breed" categories. If you are serious about a higher quality machine than the Rancilio Silvia, consider the ECM Botticelli II.
Solidly encased in a polished stainless steel frame, the Botticelli II raises the bar on home machines with two commercial pressure filters included in the package and a brew head temperature gauge added to the front control panel. The group design is the same as the commercial machines by ECM including the Raffaello and is based on the legendary Faema groups.
The temperature gauge shows when the group is pre-heated and ready and the professional has an accurate tool for brew temperature surfing and finding the correct sweet spot.
The ECM Boticelli II/T is a machine both for those looking for professional results immediately and for the serious espresso fanatic looking for commercial grade results and quality at an affordable price.
