Yeah I did mention briefly in the original post that Im selling it as Im looking at downsizing to a more compact setup.  To give some more detail though - Im still renting in the city and as if it wasnt hard enough as it is, Ive had to turn down properties because I didnt know where the VBM was going to fit! (as much as Id have my baby in the bedroom with me others wouldnt approve).

The price of HX machines is more to do with exchange rate fluctuations and currency inflation (compound inflation over 3 years equates to about a 14% price rise). Having said that, I thought there was a general rule about not commenting on sale prices, though I cant see it in the FS Forum rules any more, so maybe it was just a guideline.

The domobar supers do hold their value well though.

Valid point 2mcm.

I didnt actually realise the Black Supers werent available any more. I was researching current prices for the machine on some of the sponsors sites - imagine my surprise when I found that not only has the machine held its value well, it has exceeded it. I guess its a testament to the quality of the machine.

You may choose to revisit the price on your machine.

When the black Domobar Supers were last sold in Australia, runout prices were little more than your sale price.

Howdy Folks,

Im putting my much loved VBM Domobar Super (Black) and Mazzer Mini (Black) combo up for sale as I no longer have the space required for the beast and will be looking getting at more compact setup asap.  They were purchased together from Sibonis in Sydney just over two and a half years ago and are still in excellent condition (yes the mazzer even has both clips intact on the tray!).

They have had what I can only describe as very light usage over their life, usually 2 shots per day in the morning through the week and 4-8 shots on the weekends max. However it has had quite a few periods with little to zero usage when away for work/holidays. Ive always used filtered water and backflush at the end of every session, chemical backflushed weekly to fortnightly depending on the amount of usage. Its been serviced/descaled yearly and has never missed a beat.

Externally the body of the VBM is in really good condition, there are some marks on the cup warming tray on the top, and on the drip tray from normal usage. Comes with all the original accessories (two group handles, single/double/blind baskets) as well as tamper/mat, cleaning powder and the original boxes and manuals.  The machine is currently at Castle Hill (Northwest Sydney) and hasnt been used in the last couple of months as Ive been away.

Id prefer to sell them together so Im asking $2600 for the pair.

Price for the machine is $2200
Price for the grinder is $600
