This Grinder is approx 6 months old and in perfect (as new) condition. There is not a scratch or mark anywhere on the machine.
The colour is ’platinum’
The K3 T has a number of great features and can be clearly tracked as to Age and approx Kg of usage since new (about 3kg a month - home usage)... As this is a commercial machine it should happily grind through two to three hundred of kgs of coffee; B4 needing the burrs replaced... So at approx 35kg plus a year - Your loking 5 or 6 years plus for home use and approx $60 for the burs that you can change your self..
As a prize in the CS 10,000 comp every one knows its history to an extent. Would assume that Warranty would not transfer... But hey; these units are all but rock solid and except for the odd manufacturing extreme and or USERS error do not fail..
Have I had hardware issues = NO and before you say it.. User = NO Thus I would be happy to state that warranty is a non event...
This makes the grinder barely run in.
I like this this grinder. It was a significant improvement over my Sunbeam EM0480. It matched well with my other machines and was a better performer than the Rocky and currently matches well with my Miss DCM.
From the reviews I’ve read, the performance of the K3 is on par with the mazzer mini. The grind consistency is amazing if you manage the beans.. If they are getting on and a bit stale - it is often not much more; than a squese of the adjusting ring.. The real upside to me is the hopperlessness. KISS and less cleaning required, if you get it right. I grind directly into the basket or a container etc... The two group prongs are easy to remove / replace as required.
The hopper is clean and never been out of the box. It is the large one and not the small hopper. Have had the spout polished and the timer re connected to give an instantionous grind as required, rather than a timed dose.
RRP is approx $590.
The price for this one is $425 pick up.
Note: Have decided to kept the MaCap M5 as while it is a doser unit, I can mod to dosserless.
