It is time for me to let go of my EM6910.

Espresso has been a wonderful quest, but as I found myself drinking long blacks most of the time, its simply more practical to use a plunger for coffee (note that my beans and grinder are not for sale   ). It is also taking up space in my room that I need for something else.

For sale is my EM6910. Being a uni student, it was a relatively expensive purchase for me and rest assured it has been well maintained. It has been backflushed with caffeto and descaled with acetic acid regularly. The showerscreen has also been removed to clean any potential buildup behind it (there was almost none).

I do not overdose (check my posts in coffeesnobs ) and have been very gentle on the machine. The seal is in good shape. It pulls shots reliably with the portafilter at the 5:30 position with no leakage problems.

Living alone as a student means this machine has been used relatively infrequently. I am international and am not even around a few months of the year. When I am around, I only pull a shot or two a day when I have fresh beans. From my bean stockpile, I would estimate roughly 6-8kg of beans passing through the machine which is really quite little.

I have been using a Pullman Red Jarrah tamper with dosing lines to ensure that I dose consistently without having to overdose and potentially damage the machine.

This SPECIFIC machine has about 6-7mm clearance beneath the showerscreen corresponding to the lines on the pullman tamper.
