Everybody coffee lover has to own a Pavoni once in their life, and this is the machine that started it all!
My Pavoni Europiccola circa 1998 and comes with the milk frothing attachment and original tamper/doser/manual. It pre-dates the podgy millienum group head, so looks much better but takes a real barista to draw a god shot from! For the last 5 years the machine has been sat in a glass cabinet looking pretty, but I have dusted it down and given it a go to make sure it still works (it does).
It is mechanically sound, but needs some aesthetic TLC. Bought in London, it suffers from some calcite staining which I’m sure could be removed with a minor strip down, and being Italian, the base was rusting away below the drip tray before I noticed and stepped in with a can of metal paint to rectify the problem.
Anyway, a classic Italian machine – temperamental but very beautiful
