  • !!SOLD!!: San Marino Compak CK

    Hi,

Ive decided to move on from my San Marino Compak CK, and thought I would first offer it on Coffee Snobs.

So For Sale is a refurbished San Marino Compact CK HX Espresso Machine – Tanked & Plumbable.  Asking Price $900 o.n.o.

The machine is a single group HX machine with twin HX (Hot Water & Brew).  This ensures that both hot water and brew water is fresh from the fresh water supply (tank or mains), not from the steam tank.

    Specs:-

2lt Stainless Steel Boiler & Quality Brass & Copper pipes & fittings.
Twin HX (1 Water HX, 1 Brew HX)
    NEW Quality Fluidotech Vibe Pump
    Dual function, Tank or Plumb

This machine shares many components with the Wega Mininova but it has a commercial group.

The machine has been completely refurbished 3 months ago, which included a full strip down and clean.   It would be perfect for a home, church or workplace etc.  You can leave it on all day and make a coffee when you are ready.  It features low water cut off if the water in the tank runs out and will autofill the boiler for you.

The best feature of this machine is that it can be plumbed or fed by the internal tank.  This means that within minutes it can be unplumbed and portable, which is great for events, BBQs etc.  The drip tray is also plumbable for convenience.

    Some of what’s been done:-

    • Sandblasted, Zinc Coated & Powder coated frame in satin black
    • a new quality vibe pump
    • new brand new boiler
    • new safety valve
    • new anti-vac
    • new copper seals & rubber seals all round
    • new pressurestat
    • new glass water tank
    • a number of new fittings
    • It was completely stripped and descaled and reassembled.
    • The plastic top & drip tray are in excellent condition and crack free.

Comes with 1 double spout group handle and 1 naked group handle (which is great for troubleshooting your technique), 2 x single & 2 x ridged double baskets & blind filter for back flushing and I will also include a spare group seal & paperseal, and some backflush cleaner.

As noted above the best part about this machine is that it has the ability to be used with the internal tank or a mains supply.  This is usually only an option on more expensive top end machines.   All that is required is to flick a switch under the top plastic cover, connect a mains supply to the water inlet and it will operate on mains supply (the fittings required to plumb the machine are not included).  The drip tray can also be plumbed to the sink to drain away any water.

Please note the machine has not been tested plumbed in because I do not have the fittings to do so.
The machine is heavy, around 25kg+ and therefore it is pickup only from Sunshine Coast, QLD.  I do travel to Brisbane a bit so I can drop it off on Northside or CBD areas.

I’ve just purchased a new lever machine which is the reason for sale.

    Some photos...

    Excuse the latte art...

I also have a Barista Pullman tamper (Silver handle with black insert, flat base) for sale to the purchaser of the machine, $130 which includes the tamper, sized to a synesso double and also a synesso triple basket (just fits).  Please note I will not sell the tamper separately until the machine is sold.  Selling due to it not fitting my PV Lusso

Also for sale is a Blue Compact Designs Knocking Tube RRP $38.40
http://www.coffeeparts.com/accessories/images/knockingtube-compact-blue.jpg  It was purchased from CoffeeParts.  In good condition only $15 + Postage at purchasers expense.  Selling becuase my PV Lusso has tiny baskets and I want a red one!

Any questions just ask, I dont bite.

Also if your interested you can check out the rebuild thread here... http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1265198451/0

The blue knock tube has been sold, cheers.

Also, I forgot the mention that the San Marino does have a slight drip on the hot water tap. Its not major, and its a solenoid based tap.

When I sell the machine I will give first offer of the tamper to the new owner, and if they dont want it Ill offer it to other parties.

Great machine Lacehim, good luck with the sale. I used to have one as you know and cant recommend it more to anyone who needs to upgrade from a home type machine. Very nice shots with a LM double basket and steam pressure is terrific as well.
