Re: FS - Fiorenzatta Doge Grinder - Perth
These are a damned fine grinder by the way, although maybe a bit large for the average coffee-snobber. That aside though, the Doser leaves Mazzer equivalents well and truly in the dust, the motor is independent of the outer case and given a minimum of maintenance attention, the grinder will last a lifetime.
If the current colour doesnt appeal, change it or even strip the powder-coat off it and have the case polished. Many options.... 8-)
Mal.

Re: FS - Fiorenzatta Doge Grinder - Perth
Umm , I think the similar model is in the mid $1k new, I think the new verison is called the doge 83 as this is the 83mm variant.
It motors along very quickly through the beans and has a very clean sweep.
Also the coffee coloured hopper and doser are not stained, thats the actual colour they came in, the new ones are transparent (quick bit of searchin and i found that out)
Also I have spealt it wrong, it should be Fiorenzato.
But hey if some one wants it for less, let me know and ill consider it

Re: FS - Fiorenzatta Doge Grinder - Perth
Do you know what these were worth new? From a brief search they don’t seem to be a current model. I would guess they were somewhere around the $800 mark new.
Commercial grinders don’t tend to hold their value as much as good quality domestic ones like the Mazzer Mini. Perhaps some better quality photos would make it more appealing? Are they 83mm burrs or do you have very small hands?
I guess it just comes down to demand; it’s largely domestic users here so the demand for large commercial grinders is smaller. This one is not that well known and there is not much information available on them which would make people more apprehensive.
I have no doubt it’s a great grinder that would last forever in a typical domestic setting.
If you really need to move there are basically two options: (1) drop the price, or (2) place it on evil bay, there it will have a much wider market.

Does anyone have any interest in this ?
Anyone give me any insight into why no interest otherwise ? Seems to be a very good grinder ?
Am I priced too high ?

!!!SOLD!!! - FS - Fiorenzato Doge Grinder - Perth
Hi Guys,
I got a Fiorenzatta Doge Grinder with the Mininova i just picked up, luckily I was able to get a fantastic little rocky off a member here as the Doge is way to big for my kitchen !
It is an older model with a 2002 build date, but the guy I bought it off told me it was used for about 8 months prior to the cafe closing down and then got lost in storage, this was the same for the Wega and I have stripped them both and tested and he seems to have been telling the truth.
It is in very good condition with no cosmetic or mechanical damage and everything working perfectly.
Pictures will be up soon and I am also open to trades with a Mazzer mini or similar dosing grinder (I think while option is there to trade up without the boss catching on...)
Otherwise I am hoping to get $550
Thanks guys
