  • FS: (Sydney) Iberital Challenge

Ive given up trying to make a decent coffee at home so Im selling my Iberital Challenge.  It really hasnt done much work since I bought it from Di Bartoli a few years ago.  Basically, I gave up trying to make coffee a couple of years back but havent got rid of my stuff.  I simply dont have the patience nor the palate to learn.  (Next to go is the Solis SL90).

Its a doserless model and the asking price is $250 but will entertain offers.  Current list is $320.

Id prefer local pickup so the buyer can see what they are getting.  Its unmarked and had little use.

    Location: Emu Plains, western Sydney.

    Its not that hard rFon

Im happy to help as much as I can over the phone or via email or even here

You could even keep the grinder and use it for french press or filter.

Lets face it, if you can handle the idiosyncrasies of your Landy, making coffee should be a breeze ;D

Gday Trentski. Should I post the ad on Overlander as well?

We have the Solis 166 grinder for plunger coffee. My wife is sick of the mess from the attempts at making coffee. The equipment is taking up valuable bench space and not being used so it needs to go.

I cant get it right. Its bitter or its sour - I have no idea which.

I might have given up making espresso But I will not drink instant coffee.

Working on Land Rovers is a piece of cake compared with making good coffee.

If I was in better health Id be jumping at the opportunity to head over and help you out. If you can put the gear in the landy and head this way, Id be delighted to try helping you before you give up the ghost, and Im sure Renzo and Ofra would be happy to give you another lesson. You obviously have some love for espresso or youd have not bought it in the first place - please dont sell & give up!

Thanks for the offer CH but I suspect it would be to no avail.

I did do a course at my local roastery using my own grinder and espresso machine but I cant get the hang of it.  My wifes been pressing me to get an automatic machine for the past few years.  At least it will make consistently mediocre coffee whereas I make consistently lousy coffee.

We go to the roasters coffee shop every day to drink their coffee.

I am looking to get a grinder and have tried to find comparing reviews on this grinder and similar ones but cant seem to find any. The only other grinders I could find around this price were the sunbeam ones.... Is this grinder superior to the Sunbeam EM0480?

I have been using a portable hand grinder for the past 6 months and the novelty has worn off.....
