Hi folks,
My girlfriend and I have upgraded from an iRoast2 to a Hottop. The iRoast was purchased to see if we would be happy with home roasting - turns out we were. The original used to overheat beans before blowing a heating element after seven months. We had the base replaced under warranty and although I have only used the new base once to be sure it works correctly I can tell that there was obviously something very wrong with the first base. The replacement actually changes fan speeds as Id expect whereas the original went in with all guns blazing.
So... this is essentially a new roaster thats still under warranty. We paid $320 for it earlier this year and Id like to see $150 for it. Any takers? Ill throw in 500g of green beans for torturing.
If youre interested, send me a PM. Im in Melbourne but the roaster still has packaging and would probably cost about $15 to ship.
Cheers,
Paul
