    Re: anyone have ceramic insulation

Ouch, thats cold. I live in the Southern Highlands, NSW, one of the "cold" parts of Australia (it snows here once every couple of years), and I hate the winters here. I cant even imagine what it would be like to live with your weather.

The average seasonal snowfall for Minneapolis is about 120cm with the record being 250cm and the least ever recorded being 38cm. Least you think thats a lot of snow the US record for the most snow ever in a single season belongs to Mt. Baker Ski Area in western Washington state where they measured 1,140 inches (just shy of 30 meters!) of snow during the 1998-99 season.

Minnesota is for sure an area of weather extremes, even when looking at just a single month. In Minneapolis the range of temperatures recorded in just the month of January (the coldest month of the year here) boggles the mind. In just January we span 100F/55.5C!! From a high of 59F/15C to a low of -41F/-40.5C.

Theres a common saying in regards the weather here: If you dont like it, wait 5 minutes and itll change!

Sometimes I have to wonder myself how we deal with the weather here.
