Verry tempting,as at the moment i am grinderless, I have heard good things ,but I am saving for my rocky to mate with silvia.
I wonder if the offsping from Asasco would be better ?

stepped vs. stepless at this price point is a no brainer....you cant expect grinders like these to last you a lifetime like a mazzer.

                  Errr, me too.

I thought "On board Micrometric Regulation System" translated to stepless and it looks like a worm drive adjustment on the side...and conical blades to boot.

I for one would be interested to hear how this stands-up to the well known name brand grinders.

                    Yep,

Me too :-?..... Looks and reads like a great little grinder so would be really surprised if it turned out to be anything but. Interest is now piqued,

                    Mal.

                      Re: !!SOLD!! Ascaso Coffee Grinder

                      Hi guys,

I tested this thing out head to head with a super jolly a while ago and was hard pressed to tell the difference between the two in the cup. The ascaso i-mini seems to deliver an identical result at a lower cost and less bench space. Of course, there are the usual caveats - louder, slower, build quality ... then again, the ascasos are nowhere near the RRP of a super jolly ;P

Renzo at Di Bartoli put me on to the i-mini and I have been trying to get some in at work for ages. (In the interests of transparency, and if the last sentence didnt let everyone know, I should point out that we have sold these at work and thats how I got to test them out.)

                      Cheers,

                      Luca

I too was also looking at buying one the little beauties, decided to go with the Compak K3 Touch. My final decision was that I wanted something to last a bit longer than my Sunbeam EM6910 so that I didnt have to upgrade both machines.

Apart from the grind quality, are we saying that this thing was built to last? Could of saved me some bucks :-?
