Looks like a great value buy for someone in the market for an upgrade.

Just to clarify - the machine is fully manual. That is the operator fills the boiler and maintains the water level and determines the shot time.
There is interest in the beast and I will post accordingly.

It would be easier and cheaper to find the A1 which is the volumetric model.Originally posted by 065D58445F56370 link=1272526957/1#1 date=1272835142Can these units be plumbed in? Can a volumetric conversion be done?

!!SOLD!! Faema E98 Compact S1 2006
My wife has bought a new toy - jmcs beautiful Brugnetti Aurora.
So, by mutual agreement (hers) my less beautiful Faema E98 Compact S1 has to go
.
Date of manufacture 01 2006
I bought the machina earlier this year. Prior to this it was virtually unused for the previous 4 years and had made no more than about 20 coffees the whole time.
Oddly, the previous owners didnt drink coffee and the missus just made the occasional cup for her girly friends after tennis. Dont ask because I didnt either. She used pre-ground Vittoria crap so I dont think she had many friends left.
When I bought him home I did a complete descale and have used only water through an anti-scale filter.
Very ocassionaly, whilst warming up he gives little chirps, gradually diminishing approaching full pressure. Hasnt done it for a while though. I thought a bit of boiler creak.
Apart from a few scratches on the case this almost looks like a new machine still. Manual boiler fill and dose.
Located at the top of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.
$1,500
