Howdy AM,
You may want to clarify if its the stepped adjustment or micrometric worm drive version
Thanks... Never even crossed my mind..
Stepped...
I guess that makes it an even better buy
Easer to get from Espresso to Plunger - great for the home user.. 8-)

I personally prefer the stepped Macap (and I never thought Id say that about ANY grinder ) as the steps are so small that adjustability in not compromised at all. Its almost a must if you use your grinder to cup or for press or siphon- and I do with mine. Nevertheless, as I understand, all M4D grinders will now be chrome micrometric and come standard with associated hip pocket pain.
The MaCap M5 are beautiful grinders and partner perfectly with prosumer or even commercial espresso machines where the through put is manageable or for those SO beans that one likes to demo or that decaf stuff :-?
Approx 1 to 2 years old with almost NO use... And in the 6 months I have had it... About 1kg at best... With 500g of that being used to flavour / test / play with and bed it in... To date; the quietest grinder I have had at home and an internal build quality that has surprised me.
