Hi all

Its sitting next to my Domus Galtea now. John very kindly drove the grinder and myself home. Otherwise given the size and weight I think Citirail may have expected me to buy another ticket :-) My Macap M4 will be going to my farm to grind for a future lever machine and the Rossi will grind for the Domus in Sydney.

I spent the evening getting it dialed in but didnt have any really decent coffee to try it on, having run out and just roasted some Gouno Highland last night - still too fresh. The grinder grinds fast! yet is quiet and the motor just purrs. No clumping and the grind adjustment is clearly graduated (the Macap isnt), doser is easy to adjust also.

One thing I notice is that when roughly dialled in right, in the fingers the grind of the Rossi is coarser than that for the Macap. I would have expected them to be pretty much the same. I cant really understand why there would be a difference.

Thanks friskhr - likewise it was great to meet you, and hope to see you at the coffee pub one day soon!

Gino Rossi MC now reduced to $700. Its been given a thorough clean and has bean well looked after - the "great coffee" friskhr referred to was a Tanzania Livingston Estate through this very grinder.

Ive had a couple of offers for the Espro but havent said yes to either of them (they were @ $90 & 95). First one to ask at the newly reduced price of $100 gets it - Im happy to post if buyer pays postage.

Ive got the following for sale at the moment:

Gino Rossi MC Grinder

This ugly commercial and medium conical grinder (grinding @ 7s per double has served me well for the brief time Ive had it (bought from a site sponsor (Graeme at Euro Coffee) in late January) but since hurting my back Im struggling to pull it out from under the cupboards to refill the hopper. On this set of burrs, its done about 30Kg.

Asking: $750 ONO.

Espro Tamper

The 58mm Espro click tamper is a ubiquitous barista training tool, but since winning a Pullman Barista which fits my basket perfectly at Di Bartolis Christmas party, the espro hasnt seen much use. Especially as the guys in the office arent worthy of it  ;D

Priced new at $140, Im asking $110 neg. If its a sensible neg, its yours.

Bodum Pavina Latte Glasses x 4 - SOLD!

These hand-blown, double walled glasses are many peoples best friend in the morning, keeping the coffee hotter for longer. The down side is that they dont stack as well on top of the espresso machine - and while I use my ACF Tulips and my wife has her favourite white china bowl from DB, these get very little use. In original condition, no chips or dents.

RRP $35/pair, Im asking $35 for the 4 (non-neg). If I cant get this, Ill send them to a better life with the office coffee machine.
