Ive got a three hole tip on the steam wand of Bazza (the Bezzera) - but it still feels like Im driving 90km per hr in a 50km zone!

Love that Classic though, and am sad to part with it  , because its such a great little machine, and more than adequate for most domestic usage.

Still havent found a cafe within a ten mile radius which can produce a caffe latte half as decent as the Classic, which is kind of good, really, coz that means more time spent at home perfecting my technique!

Still, Batch Espresso and the Wall arent too far away, so if I find myself needing inspiration, I know where to go!

Also, after my mate blew up my Bezzera (dont ask), it cost me $540 to get repaired, so now I feel morally obligated to use it!

Good luck with the sale, the Classic is an awesome machine!    

the 3 hole tip is great but really its a commercial style tip and is easiest to use with larger jugs of milk. Ive got one of the small conical2 hole tips from coffeeparts on both the botticelli and bezzera (bezzera is two steam arms so I have 3 hole for large jugs, 2 hole for small)

it gets freakier.. i also own a rocky

the bezzera is a recent addition and im yet to make a better coffee than the classic (although im it will once i get the hang of it)..

steaming with the BZ feels like driving a toyota with a jet engine strapped to it. ive ordered the 2 hole steam tip.

Wow, thats freaky... Ive also got a CLassic for sale, and I also own a BZ99!

Did you upgrade to the Bezzera based upon my fine example?

Hi all,

ive just upgraded to a BZ99 and so im selling my gaggia classic.
i wont list the classics attributes (you can get those off any coffee site) but I did modify it a bit:

1. replaced the steam wand with the Silvia steam wand
2. replaced the steaming 145DegC thermostat with a 152DegC thermostat. (this gives a bit more time for steaming before it runs out).

there is a slight leak from the steaming wand. this doesnt affect the quality of the coffee but it does leave a bit of a puddle on the bench top. it can probably be fixed for around $65.
other than that the machine has been cleaned every 0.5Kg of coffee and is in excellent working order. it makes excellent coffee with a bit of practice and nice microfoam (again, practice) but i recommend a good grinder (Rancilio Rocky is great). If you pick it up, im willing to demonstrate and give a bit of a lesson.

asking price $250 Negotiable.
