For sale is my La Pavoni Brasilia asking $ 3300
I imported two machines from Italy with the intention of refurbishing both and selling one and keeping one. I can no longer procrastinate/ tinker and time has come to sell one.
This lovely La Pavoni Is circa late 1950’s or early 60’s this link to the Italian La Pavoni web site has PDF document, with the history of the company and machines, around page 98 you will see this type of machine. http://www.lapavoni.it/monografia.asp
The machine has been completely stripped, descaled, frame & panels sandblasted & repainted, most trim has been re-chromed, boiler nickel plated, all seals /o-rings replaced including piston seals (x3) and group seal, new certified safety valve.
New additions are: over temp cut out (with reset), anti-vac valve, Sirai pressurestat, professionally rewired using silicon high temp wire. The Badge is not original to the machine, but period close. Also the drip tray is new plastic as the original was rusted to bits.
The gas heating system has been left in place and probably doesn’t work. I have removed all the asbestos insulation and figured no one would want to use the gas system.
