Re: FS: Silvia V1 with PID and Rocky Doserless [Canberra]
Hey thanks Javaboy. I think you are right. Canberra is a pretty small place. I was assuming that I would be able to sell my Silvia/Rocky as quickly as other people in the big smoke. I need to lower my expectations
Im in no hurry to sell as I am enjoying coffees from my new Duetto (thanks Cosmorex).
Cheers

Re: FS: Silvia V1 with PID and Rocky Doserless [Canberra]
FWIW: I think it is more the "location has spoken" to be honest.
Hard to flog stuff off being in Canberra I found (sold 2 popular machines via CS (Giotto/Sunbeam) and both were hard to move; despite competitive pricing. Same with selling Macs and stuff via other forums!
You may have more luck on eBay.
Good luck though; nice setup.

!!!SOLD!!! - FS: Silvia V1 with PID and Rocky Doserless [Canberra]
Location: Canberra
Original Purchase: Nov 2006
Price: $825
Conditions:
Pickup or I can deliver in Canberra area.
Reason for Sale: Upgrade
Details:
Its a V1 I have had since new in Nov 06 from Cosmorex in Canberra. I purchased the Rocky around the same time, also from Cosmorex. The PID I purchased from Chris at Talk Coffee in Melbourne in 07.
I make one or to cups per day and maybe four on weekends and I always back flush with fresh water at the end of each brew session. Backflushed with detergent at the end of each month. Descaled regularly. I have always used filtered water (Brita Jug then filtered fridge water).
Comes with the accessories pictured (plus a blind filter for back flushing).
The PID installation is reversible if required, but with the PID its a completely different machine - very consistent and easy to get a great shot.
There are some cosmetic marks after six years of use but it functions perfectly and made a great shot yesterday morning.
Happy to answer any questions and/or demo it for a serious buyer.
