The tamper is around a year old, and the condition is very good. No scratch at the base and no dents.

I've owned one of Reg's tampers for over 10 years, Bubinga handle, Delrin insert, flat base, almost a carbon copy of the one Hide has for sale, excellent tamper, the handle has developed a beautiful patina with daily use over the years, wouldn't part with it for quids.
Have never used a curved base but those who have seem happy enough with them.
