Hmmmm.... I think at this price its hardly worth it? I can't be bothered with all the packing and we have all heard just how cr4p transport companies are.

I have interest over this side of the continent so I might hang in with that for the time being. If I get desperate I'll rethink this.

started a topic !!!SOLD!!! - La Cimbali Junior R

!!!SOLD!!! - La Cimbali Junior R

    Hello

My La Cimbali Junior R is up for sale on an as is basis. Asking $420 or best near offer. Pick up is in Perth - local pick up only.

Year of manufacture is 1996 from memory.

My rebuild 5 years or so ago was detailed here http://coffeesnobs.com.au/brewing-eq...-junior-r.html. That thread shows the condition on receipt (v. poor) and some of the repairs to the boiler that I needed to make to bring the machine back from the brink. That said, the machine hasn't missed a beat in the past 5 years.

The vibe pump was new 5 years ago. The Sirai is on the second of its three sets of contact breakers (ie. another 15 years of life left). I have recently replaced the heating element again at a cost of $120. That changeover allowed inspection of the inside of the boiler, which is clear of scale.

Would make a good cheap option for someone wanting to get into the world of hx.

If you are interested, please pm me.

    Richard
