  • !!!SOLD!!! - Silvia Gen1 & Rocky doserless for sale

I am looking to sell this great combo pack that has served me well for years.
    Silvia-
I actually bought this silvia through a guy on coffeesnobs years ago and it has not failed me.
I bought Silvia gen 3 earlier this year when the home made PID stuffed up on Gen1 and everyone I spoke to said they couldn't spend the time ripping out the old PID without a lot of expense!
After getting the new machine I decided to rip out the old PID and see if I could just bring it back to standard! it worked beautifully.
So, I have just descaled and fitted a new group head gasket.
The hole in the back of the machine is where the previous owner had his PID enter. She is also missing one screw from the top.

    Rocky-
Rocky has little use for years since I bought a BOEMA second hand commercial grinder on ebay. Aesthetically speaking, he is a bit worse for wear, carrying a crack in the exit spout (not serious).
I also replaced his lid with a vacuum (suction) lid (a mod to push out any excess coffee dust) but have lost the original lid.

    There you have it.
    together I would like $400.
I live in Happy Valley in Adelaide.
    mob. 0412781754
ps- included is a couple of double group handles and a double and single group basket, and a measuring spoon.

EDIT- the year of manufacture was July 02 so I don't know if that makes it a v1 or 2? one of the group handles is like the one pictured in the v1.
Also- it does not have an adjustable opv- but I have done the mod to make it between 9 and 10 bar.

Here's a bargain for someone, an easy way to get into espresso for very little money.

That's a v2, not a v1. The v1 portafilters were the domestic version with a straight fluted handle and you didn't get the nice chunky Rancilio badge. This one's a v1:

This is like the one I had and TBH the v2 is my favourite generation Silvia, before they went to the plastic shrouds around the group and 'fancy' portafilter handles. You don't get the ball-jointed steam wand with the earlier ones like this but I never actually found that to be a problem as you always have the jug over the side of the machine to do the milk. Good luck with the sale!

I think one of the main differences between a V1 and a V2 is the adjustable OPV?
