Internally you'll find that this machine has very little to go wrong. It's a very simple design and age won't effect performance. Providing that you take care of the machine and run it on a good water supply it will give you many more years.

Visually it is in great condition, components are now scale free and all seals are in great condition.

Just assuming that a serial number should be completely unique and trying to work with that.. :-) So that's the accepted standard for VBM?

They just have a #SN and that's it. Looking through my database, they were at #20000 in 2008. They are now closer to build 50000

Regardless, if it's in good shape, the age of a simple machine like this is irrelevant.

No it's not sold yet. I believe postage to Sydney will be around the $50 mark. Depending on how you want to do it. There is a cheaper option under $20 if you are willing to pick it up from a depot.
