Hi
I'm moving out of a house with plumbed options and back into rentals so it's time to say goodbye to my trusty Bezzera BZ40.
I've enjoyed this guy daily for about six months. It's about ten years old but the previous owner had it it storage for about six of those. After I picked it up I did a full teardown rebuild and descale. I also replaced the crappy chrome swivel steam wand and hot water arm with nice stainless steel ones, the steam wand is cool touch. Since then it has been running with a proper water softening filter on rain water (I've been living out in the country).
Good condition for its age, the usual paint chips and scuffs on the stainless panels. A little bit of surface rust on the steel frame as well but nothing structural.
The only issue is that the vacuum breaker isn't working, I haven't bothered fixing this as I've been running the machine on a timer and I quite like that it puts the machine in a sort of standby when I wake up in the morning, needing only for the seal to be released to come up to temperature in five minutes of so.
I'm sure this would be an easy fix if anyone found it too annoying.
This is a 15amp commercial heat exchanger machine which is known for having buckets of steam. Brilliant for entertaining. I've disconnected one of the elements so I could run it of 10amp, even with the reduction in power it still heats up in about twenty minutes. I can either rewire it to 15amp or keep it as it is and provide the extra wires and a picture of how it was wired originally.
Included
Machine
Bezzera genuine naked portafilter
Two older portifilters, a single and a double (these actually fit better than the Bezzera one!)
blind
assortment of single, double and triple baskets.
four hole and two hole steam tips

Asking for $1400
If it sells at this price I will include the pictured beautiful matching set of blackwood handles I turned for the machine. If not then it will come with the stock black plastic ones.
I'm happy to ship intestate at buyers cost and can help organise the courier.
Pickup available in Canberra.
Gaggia MDF grinder
I bought this for my grandmother who found the doser a bit fiddly so I have got her a smart grinder instead.
Did a full refurb when I first got it including a new burrset. would't have gone through more than 1kg of coffee since.
Decent condition, cosmetic paint chips and scuffs but it works great.
The doser arm was broken off sometime in it's previous life but has been epoxy'd back on solidly.
50mm burrs so equivalent to a rancillio rocky. Good beginner grinder

$180
Postage at buyers cost
pickup availible in Canberra
