Plenty of interstate interest, but nothing from Perth yet,
The original seals on the piston are good ,I just cleaned and re lubed them, the group seal was a bit hard ,so I have replaced that with a brand new one,

Hi summercrema,

The Caravels don't have manufacture dates, but this one is one of the First models its a version 1.1 which I think is early 1960's,

It has the metal button to release the boiler and plastic one for the power, the very first model the version 1.0 had a metal button for the power also. that was late 1950's.

This is NOT an immaculate example, but it works perfectly and produces a really nice shot of espresso,
I stripped the original paint off as it had worn through in a few places,and applied a new coat of green hammertone,

The handle on the lever is cracked, cosmetic only
It needs a new circlip to hold the shower screen in place , the original circlip had been replaced with a steel one,it needs a stainless circlip,
The drip tray has the top grill missing, makes it easier to fit a cup under the portafilter anyway,


Perth buyers at this stage, if it doesn't move soon I may package and post interstate for $40.
