Up for sale is one of my loved hand grinders. This is an authentic Peter Dienes dated around the 50's or 60's ( I have been unable to date exactly).
This particular grinder was Dutch-made not German. I have lovingly restored it, cleaning and hand polishing whilst maintaining the original patina of the wood. It looks great and functions well - I have aligned the burrs.
this grinder is not "mokka" and as such is only ok for espresso. I own a ponte vecchio and whilst I get a very acceptable shot from this grinder it doesn't choke the machine on its finest setting. This grinder would be ideal for brewing methods that use slightly coarser grinds. The grind consistency is phenomenal and really brings out nuances of flavour when I pair it with the aeropress.
$60 pick up Melbourne, sunbury or willing to ship at buyers expense.
