Update on the Saeco steam wand attachment:
Went down to my local coffee repair guys and they managed to find me an old Saeco steam tip they had lying around... for FREE! It had two pieces an inner tube and an outer tube (the inner seems to be the part you have attached) Mine, however has a screw thread on the OUTSIDE at the top above the red O ring. I removed the Mokitas steam tip and pushed it on over the O rings of the Mokitas wand (yours doesnt appear to go up that far... This proved very unsuccessful because as soon as I turn up the steam the whole thing launched into hyper space!!!
What to do?... Do I need an O ring inside the Saeco tip? Cant see your extension clearly enough to know if yours is different!
Would appreciate any suggestions you might have.

Hi Lorraine
sounds like your tip doesnt have the outside collar- should be the plastic tip with outisde thread and a black plastic collar which has a neoprene cylinder in it. as the collar tightens the neoprene compresses and grips the steam wand.
The whole thing is available from:
www.caffebianchi.com
in Leichhardt Sydney for about $20

Thought you might like to know the final chapter on my steam tip saga...
Got hold of Caffe Bianchi (was a "sign" as my new road bikes a Bianchi too...), ordered said tip and hey presto, got it in the post yesterday! My micro foam efforts are hugely improved although I got caught out using too large a jug the first time (because of the extended length of the wand, couldnt remove it without spilling half the contents over the bench! ) am very happy with it!

Thanks so much for the great advice!

My pleasure Lorraine- yes it is a fantastic tip- almost do need to put the machine on something to get the height for anything more than a 600ml jug though.
