We've been running a small coffee roasting business for the last couple of years supplying farmers markets, a small cafe, online sales and local customers. The business has been a great success using the Coffee Tech Solar Auto Roast (2kg) which allowed us to start up with minimal outlay and very low risk. Being an electric roaster and the fact we have a large solar array meant we could roast coffee sustainably. Due to having a large family with young kids the coffee business has started eating too much into our family time so we've decided to give it a rest...for now. If anyone is interested in purchasing a 2kg electric roaster, in excellent conditions, please let me know.
The roaster requires very little maintenance and once you have setup the start and stop temperatures for each bean type, it's very easy to use and provides repeatable and consistent results. I am happy to provide the purchaser with the details of the temps I have optimised over the last 2 years (more than 10 bean types). Also happy to provide the details of our current Melbourne based green bean supplier. This would be perfect for a small cafe who has some roasting knowledge and wants to start roasting in-house.
