!!!SOLD!!! - FS: (MELB) Bezzera Domus Galatea
This is a 2007 model E61 HX machine, has seen low volume domestic use the vast majority of its life, and a couple (2) 'festival' days of churning out 60 or so coffees. A real 'head turner' in the open plan kitchen - it's art and delivers great coffee.
Run on filtered water, backflushed and chem flushed as per caring owner.
Recently replaced: tap seals, main gasket, water and steam stems and seals (they had been overtightened a fair bit before I got the machine 2 years ago, which had degraded the metal tips - never affected function but I wanted it to be 'as new' for sale). Good condition
Will come with: Cafelat tamp (58.3 'VST' base), single and double portafilters, a 2 hole steam tip (4 hole installed), your next filter gasket (current one is about 20 coffees from new), and a pack of descaler. I intended to descale the machine for sale, but discovered things were in quite good shape when I took it apart so I didn't do it, but you're welcome to when it comes to need it.
Located: Parkville, (inner north Melbourne) - But will be traveling to Sydney in the first week of December and Newcastle in January if you're patient. Prefer not to ship, but arms can be twisted.
Reason for sale: I have a Giotto, TBH I prefer the performance of the Bezzera, especially steam power, but I like the smaller footprint and the lighter weight, because I travel a lot.
Price: $1600 firm. (I have a mate in Sydney who'll happily pay $1600 for it next month, so save us both the time if you're planning on offering less than that.)
