Hi guys,
Well i've made the decision to sell my 2kg roaster again. I had thought about keeping it, but to be honest I'm just not using it since moving on to a larger commercial roaster. The brand of the roaster is JYR (also known as North Coffee roasters or Mill City Roasters in the USA). I purchased it through a seller in Australia and went through the tedious process of paying $$$ and waiting 6-8 weeks for it to be built and arrive.
The roaster was worth around $7500 new when i purchased it in June 2016 and is still basically as new. It has roasted a few hundred kg maybe.
It comes with chaff collector and can be easily flued with the flexible aluminum style ducting.
Roaster set up to run on LPG gas and can roast 2kg roasts in around 15 min to just shy of second crack. These roasters allow simultaneous cooling and roasting and work quite well for what they are, they are very reliable from my experience as they are quite basic. Can easily be set up to run with roasting software such as coffeesnobs or artisan etc.
Roaster located in Newcastle NSW and I can show buyers how it works and give basic guidance to show how it roasts etc
