Hi,
After a couple of bad years with the wife's health I've decided to spend more time at home with her, which means closing down my coffee roastery. So up for sale is my Roastmax 5kg Pro LPG roaster.
This roaster was purchased 2nd hand by a cafe in Wollongong NSW and was put to work as their cafe roaster for a couple of months before the person roasting for them moved on. I then purchased it from the cafe and continued to roast from within their cafe for many months before moving it out to my own commercial premises and ran my coffee roastery for another almost 2 years. I ran a small part time boutique roastery supplying one cafe, a couple of coffee vans and retail orders within my own network. This entailed roasting up to 60kg/week (brown) for many months and as low as 12kg/week sometimes.
It has never skipped a beat, except for needing to replace a capacitor on a fan motor for all of about $6. Unfortunately I am unaware of it's history up until the cafe purchasing it, they were unable to tell me the history. It does have several scratches to the paintwork here and there and a couple of dints to the exterior from being moved (I put one of the dints in it moving it, the others were already there), none of which affect its operation. It is missing an end piece to the drum shaft at the cyclone end which I'm sure you could source from Roastmax, but as long as you keep it clean I've found it's fine as it is. I have tried to show the worst of dings and scratches in photos and the missing end piece. The roaster is kept clean and shafts regularly greased with inox food grade lubricant.
The roaster is pick up only in the Wollongong area (NSW 80km south of Sydney) and the buyer is encouraged to see it in person prior to purchase. If you are unable to see it and are sending someone else to get it then I can take copious amounts of photos and videos of it for you prior to purchasing but if you can come and see it then do. I have found the roaster easy to move using a small hire truck with hydraulic lift on the back. They are available at most rental places and can be driven on normal licence. I pay about $110 per day for truck, more if you do heaps of kms though. 2 people can get roaster onto and off of the lift, and the hydraulics do all the hard work.
I can add in a stainless steel hospitality bench about 2.8m long with undershelf, scales, foot operated heat sealer, food grade buckets, scoops, date labelling guns, bags and even beans cheap if you wish - everything you need to open your roastery tomorrow. All these can be negotiated seperately during purchase of roaster - I'll do it all half price or less, except beans which I'll do you some for below cost but not half.
I'm looking at taking offers (by PM only - remember site rules) up to $10 000. So, initial price is $10 000 but open to negotiating offers below this.
