Hah! Thanks Leroy! Seriously though. It's just like when you purchase a new premium product it comes with a thousand million accessories which you'll probably never use and is useless when you actually attempt to use it. A microfiber cloth and the blind basket do a way better cleaning job than the thingie.

Sam I think this is the best thing I've ever heard you say. For a guy that owns a refractometer and has always been into the techy side of coffee I love that you've described an accessory as a 'thingie'!!!! Bravo my man! LOLOriginally posted by samuellaw178 View Postand a brush thingie.

PS. Beautiful machine there at a great price. I don't imagine you'll have any trouble moving it on.

Thanks Barefoot! The used coffee machine market in Sydney seems more active than in Melbourne anyway! I'm sure you won't have a hard time finding yourself in upgraditis temptation.
Hi Beavo,
Good question I should've mentioned. It includes the stock double portafilter, with the double and blind basket, and a brush thingie.
There is no single spout portafilter nor the single basket. Does anyone actually pull on single basket?
They're quite notorious for channelling but if anyone is inclined I can include a single basket I have no use for.
Anyway, I believe it's CS policy to take any negotiation via pm. The machine can't be much more than 1-1.5 year old considering the version and looking at the portafilter wear so it's not a stretch to say it's in mint condition.
I would've kept it to keep playing but I prefer to dabble with levers, and that's a waste of the Nota's potential.

I'll be the first one to say: very glad you're not in Sydney, because I would definitely be in big trouble with my wife when she got home to find this on the bench. At least until she spent a minute looking at it. Daaamn that's a nice looking piece of kit!

!!!SOLD!!! - FS: Orchestrale Nota Rotary HX E61 (Melbourne)
Another piece of gear/toy up for grab.
After seeing Mike's thread on Franken lever over at home barista (must see for lever fan!), my interest in Nota was piqued. Almost tempted to keep it but I still prefer the big lever!
All in all, this is a well-proven Heat Exchanger technology based on the famous E61 group, built using the best quality components available. Paired with a Procon rotary pump and a 3L copper boiler. Heavy gauge stainless steel everywhere with robust commercial grade components (Sirai pressurestat, Gicar controller etc) throughout.
Frame is fully thick-gauged stainless steel, not the cheaper painted steel which could rust decades later. Even the drip tray weighs 1.2kg on its own, and slides in and out smoothly! Spring-loaded, fully swivel wands so much more durable than the metal-on-metal sealing mechanism.
The thermosyphon is well tuned as well. It's very stable temp-wise and does not flash heat or burn coffee like those un-tuned HX dragon breathers! Plenty of steam power.
Can be plumbed in/out, but also can run from tank (that's what I'm doing). Just push a switch to convert to plumb in mode.
As far as I can see, the machine has had low usage in its previous home (I'm the second owner) and is squeeky clean under the hood/panel. This is the newer version with a single rotary pump (rather than 1 vibe pump+1 rotary pump). One less thing to go wrong I guess.
The most notable feature of the Nota is its music-themed curves, a deviant from the all-too-typical mirror polished SS. This will be the one if you are sick of seeing shiny E61 boxes everywhere!
Here's a video on the Nota:

Looking for $1800, real clean and excellent condition. Pick up only in Fitzroy. Because of its build, this baby is pretty heavy! Should make a Snob very happy. Next step up from this will probably be a GS3/Slayer/Speedster etc but the price will be more than double.
