After many years of faithful service I’ve taken the plunge and upgraded to a Bezzera Strega (PID thanks Antony! at Casa Espresso) and Mazzer Mini, so our existing setup is for sale.

Purchased in Adelaide from Peter at Simply Coffee in 2008 it has performed flawlessly until around 12 months ago when the shots were becoming sporadic.

I’ve just spent $352 with Complete Cafe Services and given everything a complete “birthday” - see the image of the receipt. The pump needed to be replaced plus numerous seals, cleaning etc. I’m proud to say that it’s now performing as well as the day we bought it, and pulling great espresso shots, or steaming milk with speed (lots of Latte’s, Hot Chocolates, Chai Latte’s in this household).

As you’ll know this machine has two modes, one to draw the coffee, and another (bottom left button) to start steam mode (which takes less than a minute to warm up) and then steam your milk and complete your coffee. I mostly make 1-3 hot drinks at a time, 1-2x per day at home. I’ve made six at a time in the past at dinner parties but that’s only on a handful of occasions. it will cope well with this workload, you just have to setup a production line.

The big advantage of the Domobar is the size, it offers great performance in a very compact footprint - the Bezzera will fill my compact spot but anyway…

It’s been very well cared for, I even have the original box it came in.

There’s also a beautiful Pullman tamper with gorgeous timber handle (my mate bought me a new one for my 50th birthday last month)
